Job Description

We are partnering with a local construction company that is looking to add a Survey Party Chief to their team!

Pay: $80,000

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:0 0 PM

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage daily survey crew operations
  • Plan work activities and site logistics
  • Ensure safety/accuracy/productivity
  • Coordinate with PMs and field teams
  • Establish and maintain horizontal and vertical control
  • Perform layout for earthwork, utilities, curb, paving and structures
  • Perform independent check shots and tolerance verification
  • Operate robotic total stations and GNSS systems
  • Perform daily instrument setup, calibration and validation
  • Support machine control operations with control and verification
  • Capture digital as-builds using UTS and GNSS
  • Verify work against design models and plans
  • Identify and communicate discrepancies early
  • Maintain accurate field notes and control logs
  • coordinate data handoff with office and CAD staff
  • Support model revisions and updates

Qualifications

  • 5+ years construction survey experience
  • Experience as a Party Chief or Lead Instrument Operator
  • Strong experience with UTS (Robotic total solutions) and GNSS
  • Ability to read and interpret civil construction plans
  • Experience supporting machine control operations
  • Experience with Trimble survey systems
  • Experience on site development, roadway, or infrastructure projects
  • Ability to mentor junior survey staff
